Privacy Policy - Hold the Wall
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Some ads are optional videos you can choose to watch for a bonus; a full-screen ad may appear between missions (never during play).
- To show ads, Google AdMob collects device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), approximate location from your IP address, and ad interaction data. See section 5.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent (Google's consent form) before personalised ads, and you can change your choice any time in Settings > Ad Privacy.
- Owais Studios itself does not collect, store on a server or sell your personal data. There are no in-app purchases, no analytics of our own and no account or sign-in. Your game progress is saved only on your own device.
1. Who we are
Hold the Wall is a game made by Owais Studios, a small independent developer. This policy explains what happens to information when you play the game.
2. Information we (Owais Studios) collect
We do not collect any personal information ourselves. The game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data, and it does not send your game data to us. The only data that leaves your device is the data the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) needs to show ads, described in section 5.
3. Data stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game saves a small file on your device (for example: missions unlocked, stars, coins, items you earned, and settings such as language, sound volume, graphics quality and vibration). A second small file remembers when an ad was last shown, so that ads are not shown too often. These files stay on your device. We cannot see them or access them. You can delete them at any time by clearing the app's storage or by uninstalling the game.
The game may read your device's language setting, on the device, to choose the game language automatically. This information is not sent anywhere by the game.
4. Permissions
- Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used only to load ads and Google's consent form. The game itself works fully offline; without internet simply no ads are shown.
- Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): lets the Google Mobile Ads SDK read the Android Advertising ID. You can reset or delete this ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
- Vibration (VIBRATE): short vibration feedback when you place blocks or when something is hit. You can turn vibration off in the game's Settings.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may add a few technical permissions of its own (for example to keep background work running briefly); they are not used by the game for anything else.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game uses Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, to show ads:
- Rewarded ads are always optional: you tap a button that says "Watch Ad" to get a bonus (for example double coins or a second chance). Nothing is lost if you do not watch.
- Interstitial (full-screen) ads may appear only between missions, not before your third mission, at most about once every three missions and never while you are playing.
To deliver, measure and (with your consent where required) personalise ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and sends to Google: device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID (or an app-set ID), your IP address (used to estimate a coarse location), device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version), and information about the ads you see and tap, plus crash and performance diagnostics of the SDK. This data is sent encrypted. Google acts as an independent controller of this data under its own policies. Owais Studios does not receive this data except as aggregated, anonymous reports (for example the number of ads shown and earnings).
Learn more: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, How Google uses advertising data, AdMob and user privacy, and the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): on first launch, the game shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform, a certified consent management platform under the IAB TCF). You can agree or refuse personalised ads. If you refuse, or if no choice could be recorded, only non-personalised or limited ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings > Ad Privacy (this button appears where the law requires it).
US state privacy laws: Owais Studios does not sell personal information for money. Where applicable, Google's restricted data processing and your device's advertising settings let you limit personalised ads.
6. Children
Hold the Wall is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Ad requests are marked as not child-directed and ads are limited to content suitable for teens. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the game, please contact us.
7. Security and data retention
Your save file stays on your device and is protected by the normal security of your Android device. Data collected by Google AdMob is transmitted encrypted and kept by Google according to its own retention policies. You can delete the game's local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the game, and you can reset your Advertising ID in your phone's settings.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game handles data in a different way (for example purchases or online features), we will update this policy before that version is released and change the effective date above. The newest version of this policy will always be available at this address.
