Privacy Policy - Word Hunt Elite
- Word Hunt Elite works fully offline. This version does not use the internet at all.
- Owais Studios does not collect any personal data. The game sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
- There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no account or sign-in, no analytics and no crash reporting in this version.
- Your progress is saved on your own device (and, if you use Android backup, in your own Google account backup).
1. Who we are
Word Hunt Elite is a word search puzzle game made by Owais Studios, a small independent game developer. This policy explains which information the game uses, why, and what you can do about it.
2. Information stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game saves a small file in its private app storage on your phone:
- Your progress: missions completed, stars, best scores and times, coins, Hint Tickets, XP and level, and play statistics such as the number of words found.
- A mission in progress, so you can continue where you left off if the game closes.
- Your settings, such as music and sound volume and vibration, and which tips you have already seen.
- The time the game was last used, as a basic check against changes to the phone's clock.
- Backup copies of this file, so that a power cut or a crash does not lose your progress.
We cannot see these files and they are never sent to us. They are removed when you uninstall the game or clear its storage in your phone's settings.
Android backup: if backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may copy the save file to your own Google account backup so that your progress can come back on a new phone. This is a feature of Android and your Google account; Owais Studios cannot access these backups. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
3. Internet and data sharing
This version of Word Hunt Elite does not request the internet permission and does not contain any advertising, analytics, sign-in or online service. Nothing about you or your play is sent off your device by the game, and nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
4. Permissions
- Vibration (VIBRATE): a short, light vibration when you select letters. You can switch it off in the game.
The game does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or any other personal information.
5. Ads and purchases
This version has no ads and no real-money purchases. Coins and Hint Tickets are earned only by playing.
6. Links
If the game shows a link (for example to this privacy policy), tapping it opens your phone's browser or the matching app. The game itself sends nothing; those apps and websites follow their own privacy policies.
7. Children
Word Hunt Elite is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Its words and stories are family friendly (no violence, no bad language). The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Your choices
- Delete your game data: clear the game's storage in your phone's settings, or uninstall the game.
- Android backup: turn it off in your phone's settings if you do not want your progress backed up.
- Vibration, music and sound: change them in the game.
9. Security
Your save file stays in the game's private storage and is protected by the normal security of your Android device.
10. Future versions and changes to this policy
Later versions may add optional features that use the internet, such as Google Play Games sign-in for leaderboards and achievements, or optional reward videos from Google AdMob that you choose to watch. Before any version that handles data differently is released, we will update this page and the Google Play Data safety section, and change the effective date above. The newest version of this policy will always be available at this address.
